Christmas Shoebox Update

It is a big thank you to all who supported the 2018 Christmas Shoebox appeal. Something we have supported now since 1992. Amazing support, enabling more organisations and good causes to be supported.UK and Overseas… The last leg for us, remains Eastern Europe to Orphanages, Hospitals where the scenario is so different to here in the UK.

This time also saw weather conditions with day time temperatures of -15c, snow and challenging conditions. But despite all, everything got to where needed and more places supported in Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia… Sadly the home trip did not go so well.. Our faithful Old Mercedes Sprinter Van died in Austria and I ended up in Hospital in Bavaria… But both of us have now been repatriated and doing well.. But the last year for the Sprinter Van, given rules on breakdown cover. Well done to the Automobile Association and grateful thank to nurses and doctors at the KrankenHaus in Rotmunster!

Yes we are planing another appeal for 2019.. Deadline for arrival of Shoeboxes is 30th November, so time is short to get them in. Well done and thank you to all who have supported..Ola & Right at Home (Bournemouth) & The Boss in his basket.. Julie Lever & Reed Elsvier and their various offices, Herstmonceux Primary School, Oasis Fellowship (Seaford) Christchurch (Bexhill) Michael Brown Solicitors (Dundee) are just some of the places that have aided in collecting an amazing total.. Plus Knit & Natter (Hailsham) Hot water bottle covers & Blankets to benefit the homeless on our streets. Thank you… You are stars
